Oregon Ballot Measure 32 (2004) also known as Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) 14 appeared on the November 2, 2004 ballot in Oregon as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1]
Background
The measure deals with a nuance in Oregon's constitutional requirement that taxes raised from motor vehicle use be used only for highway construction and maintenance. Currently, the Oregon Constitution lists "mobile homes" as one of the types of vehicles subject to this section of the Constitution. Measure 32 deletes "mobile homes" from this list.[2]
Official Ballot Title:
Deletes Reference To Mobile Homes From Provision Dealing With Taxes And Fees On Motor Vehicles.[3]
