Oregon Ballot Measure 6 (1922)

Oregon Ballot Measure 6 appeared on the Oregon ballot in November 1922. The measure passed with 115,506 votes in favor, and 103,685 votes opposed.[1]

After a lawsuit filed by the Society of Sisters, the law was overturned by the Supreme Court of the United States in Pierce v. Society of Sisters.
