The Palo Verde Cemetery District parcel tax appeared on the June 3, 2008 ballot in Riverside County, California, where it was defeated. It was also known as "Measure I".

  • No: 1,316 votes (85.73%)

The question on the ballot was:

"Shall the Palo Verde Cemetery District be authorized to levy an annual property tax of $100.00 per parcel (with all revenues going towards the Operations, Maintenance, Improvements, Expansions and Future land acquisitions of the Cemetery District) it will ensure the financial security and continued uninterrupted operations of the Palo Verde Cemetery District and provide those living in the Cemetery Dist rict a Cost- Free internment of human remains, meeting the cultural, economic, religious, and social needs of the Cemetery's District?"
