Pam Jochum (b. September 26, 1954) is the Democratic President of the Iowa State Senate, representing District 50 since 2013. She previously represented District 14 from 2009 to 2013. Jochum was Statewide Co-Chair for United States Senator Tom Harkin's Re-Election Committee. In 1980 she was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. She was Chair of the Dubuque County Democratic Central Committee in 1982. She was also Floor Whip at the Democratic National Convention in 1984. She served in the Iowa State House of Representatives from 1992 to 2008.

Jochum earned her BA from Loras College.

Jochum is a Residence Hall Director and Public Information and Marketing Director for Loras College.

Jochum ran for re-election to the Iowa State Senate in 2012. Due to redistricting, she ran in district 50. Jochum ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 5, 2012. She defeated William Johnson (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
