Pam Malumphy was an independent candidate for the Third Berkshire District, Massachusetts House of Representatives in the October 18, 2011 special election. Malumphy ran to fill the vacancy created when Christopher Speranzo (D) resigned on July 13 to take accept an appointment as new clerk magistrate of Central Berkshire District Court.[1]

Malumphy was defeated by Patricia Farley-Bouvier (D) in the October 18 special election. Mark Jester (R) and Mark Miller (G) also ran. Miller was a close second, losing to Farley-Bouvier by less than 200 votes (a 1,940-1,748 margin). Malumphy garnered 1,325 votes.[2]
