Party pushes for Arkansas ballot in 2010
LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas: Arkansas could see the Constitution Party push for ballot access in 2010, with the state seeing only the Green Party, the Reform Party, and the American party gain access for office other than president in the last 45 years. According to reports, the party must obtain 10,000 signatures in a span of three months.
The three months to gather those signatures are chosen by the party, but must be turned in by July 2010 in order to have a candidate on the ballot that same year. According to reports, the Constitution Party is hoping to put someone on the ballot for Governor of Arkansas. No Libertarian party has ever had a candidate for a partisan office on the Arkansas ballot, only for the office of president.
