Elections for the office of Wisconsin State Senate will consist of a primary election on August 12, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 2, 2014. Pat Bomhack will face Ernie Wittwer in the Democratic primary. Howard Marklein is unopposed in the Republican primary.[1]

Bomhack ran in the 2012 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 51. He was defeated by Maureen May-Grimm in the Democratic primary on August 14, 2012. Incumbent Howard Marklein (R) ran unopposed in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
