Pat Bomhack is a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 17 of the Wisconsin State Senate.[1] Bomhack ran against Ernie Wittwer in the August 12, 2014 Democratic primary for the District 17 seat in the Wisconsin State Senate.

The Government Accountability Board certified Bomhack as having won the District 17 Democratic primary on April 29.[2] This was a switch from August 26, when they certified Ernie Wittwer as the victor with a 5-vote lead.

A recount in the election was triggered by the 7-vote differential between the two candidates in preliminary results from the August 12 primary.[3] [4]

In 2012, Bomhack ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic Party nomination for District 51 of the Wisconsin State Assembly.
