Ownbey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Oklahoma. He is president and general manager of On the Air Property Management, former owner and general manager for KICM Radio; and former vice president and general manager for KKAJ-KVSO Radio. He and his wife, Kathy, have two children: Scott and Susan.
