Pataskala Library District Levy Renewal (March 2012)

A Pataskala Library District Levy Renewal measure was on the March 6, 2012 ballot in the Pataskala library district area which is in both Fairfield and Licking Counties.

The measure was defeated
Fairfield County

YES: 67 (25.19%)
NO: 199 (74.81%) d^[1]

Licking County:

YES 2,078 (46.64%)
NO 2,377 (53.36%)d^[2]

This was the second attempt by the district to renew the current library levy, a previous attempt in november 2011 failed. The levy would be set at a rate of .75 mills. Library officials noted that after 2012 there would not be any further income for the library district if this tax renewal is not approved.^[3]
