Lindsay and Scott Parsley ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. Incumbent Mitch Fargen (D) ran for re-election in District 15.[1]

Stricherz defeated incumbent Gerald Lange (D) and Jason Bjorklund (I) in the November 2 general election. Stricherz was elected along with incumbent Democrat Mitch Fargen.[2]
