Paul Clay was a Democratic candidate for District 36 of the California State Senate.[1] The primary election was on June 8, 2010, and the general election was on November 2.


Clay earned his B.S. in Geography from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1995. He later earned a teaching certificate from National University in 2004.[1]

Clay was uncontested in the primary election. He was defeated by Republican Joel Anderson in the November 2 general election.[2]


Clay and his wife, Juliene, have two children. They live in Bellflower, California.[1]
