Paul Poirier (b. September 30, 1948) is an independent member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Washington-3 since 2013. He previously represented Washington-3-1 from 2009 to 2013. Poirier served as Assistant House Leader in the Vermont State House of Representatives from 1983 to 1984, as Minority Leader from 1985 to 1986, and as Majority Leader from 1987 to 1988.

He has served on the Barre City Council since 1990.

Poirier is the Manager of Community Relations for Green Mountain Power.

Poirier earned his BS from Norwich University in 1970. He went on to receive his MEd in History/Government from Norwich in 1974.
