Paull Shin is a Washington state senator, currently serving the 21st district.[1] He has occupied the senate seat since 1999 and is a member of the Democratic Party. Shin is currently serving as Vice President Pro Tempore.
Education
Shin earned his BA from Brigham Young University. He went on to receive his MA in Public/International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh. He then earned his PhD from the University of Washington.
Professional experience
Shin used to teach at the college level. He is now retired.
Political experience
Shin served in the Washington State House of Representatives from 1993 to 1994. He has served in the Washington State Senate since 1999. He was Vice President Pro Tempore in the senate from 2001 to 2002, again in 2005, and currently serves in that position.
