Petaluma Sewer Rate Rollback Initiative (2010)
From Ballotpedia
A Petaluma Sewer Rate Rollback Initiative may be on the June or November 2010 ballot in Sonoma County for voters in the City of Petaluma.[1]
The initiative, if approved by voters, would roll the city's sewer rates back to 2006 levels. The ballot question will be, "Shall an ordinance be adopted to reduce city of Petaluma wastewater sewer rates to rates in effect on Jan.1, 2006?"
The signatures to put the initiative on the ballot were collected by a group called "Petalumans for Fair Utility Rates". This group objects to the sewer rate increases that the City of Petaluma imposed to pay for the new Ellis Creek wastewater treatment facility.
