Peter Allen (b. July 8, 1934) is a former Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He represented the Cheshire 6 District from 2000 to 2010. Allen was also the Senator for New Hampshire State Senate, District 7 from 1971-1972 and 1978-1980.
Allen's professional experience also includes town moderator of Wilmot New Hampshire and chairman of Kearsarge Regional School Board; ecologist, assistant professor; state research forester for New Hampshire Division of Forests and Lands; and research forest ecologist.
Allen earned his BS from University of New Hampshire, and his MA from PhD from Duke University. He and his wife, Carolyn, have six children; Belinda, Bruce, Heather, Jennifer, Eliot, and Clifton.[1]

2008
On November 4, 2008, Johnson ran for the Cheshire District 6 of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, winning the third of four seats with 2,773 votes, behind Nancy Carlson (D) with 3,519 votes and Alfred Lerandeau (D) with 3,450 votes, and ahead of Jane Johnson (R) with 2,773 votes, Anthony Dubois III (D) with 2,750 votes, Judson Dexter (R) with 2,480 votes, Douglas Lyman (R) with 2,019 votes, and 8 votes for Others.
