Peter Bowman
Peter Bowman was a Democratic member of the Maine State Senate. Bowman served in the Maine Senate from 2006 to December 2010.
Bowman served in the US Navy for thirty years on active duty and in the reserves. Bowman is a retired Quality Assurance agent for Shawmut.
Bowman graduated from Cornell with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering in 1960 and earned two Master's degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1973.

Bowman did not run for re-election to the 1st District Seat in 2010, although he was eligible to do so under Maine's term limits. Dawn Hill ran for the seat on the Democratic ticket. Michael Estes ran for the seat on the Republican ticket. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.

On November 4, 2008, Bowman ran for District 1 of the Maine State Senate, beating Mary Black Andrews.[2]
