Pickens Council threatened with federal investigation

Pickens Council threatened with federal investigation. Smith of the Council has been accused by state Sen. Larry Martin, R-District 2, and Pickens County administrator Chap Hurst of attempting to influence the outcome of elections. Smith believes this pertains to the Pickens County Election Commission's director of elections and registration in Pickens County, Ashley Harris, who no longer works for the Commission, possibly due to Smith's recommendation. ^[1]
