Pike Township Elementary School Construction Project (May 2010)
This measure was approved with 70% of voters in favor.
This measure asked voters if they wanted to approve a construction project to tear down Guion Creek Elementary School and build a new school facility. This measure was brought about due to the deteriorating conditions at the school and the need to build a new school or repair the current one. School officials noted that the construction would likely not raise property taxes because it would be paid through taxes already being collected.
