A Pinole Term Limits Measure N was on the November 4, 2008 ballot in Contra Costa County, California, where it was approved.
Measure N imposes term limits on members of the Pinole City Council of a maximum of three successive terms in office.
The ballot question said, "Shall an ordinance be adopted to enact term limits upon members of the Pinole City Council, preventing any person who serves three (3) successive terms from serving again until an intervening period of two (2) years has elapsed?"
- Yes: 5,585 votes, or 72.83%
- No: 2,084 votes, or 27.17%
