Pittsville Schools Exceed Revenue Limit (2008)

The Pittsville Schools Exceed Revenue Limit was a school bond issue on the November 4 ballot in the School District of Pittsvile, which is in, Wood, Clark, Jackson and Juneau counties. The purpose of the referendum was to add $175,000 per year for three years to the school budget (totaling $525,000 overall), above the state revenue limit. The additional funds will be used to help pay basic school operation costs.

Text of measure

Be It Resolved by the School Board of the School District of Pittsvile, Wood, Clark, Jackson, and Juneau Counties, Wisconsin, that the revenues included in the School District budget be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by $175,000 for the 2008-2009 school year; by an additional $175,000 for the 2009-2010 school year (for a total of $350,000) and by an additional $175,000 for 2010-2011 school year and thereafter (for a total of $525,000), for recurring purposes consisting of ongoing operation and maintenance expenses.


Approved by just 18 votes (1,031 to 1,013).
