A Placer Hills fire district appropriation limit, also known as Measure P, appeared on the November 4, 2008 ballot in Placer County, California, for voters in the Placer Hills fire district.

The goal of Measure P was to allow the Placer Hills Fire Protection District to exceed its legal appropriations limit for four years.

Measure P was approved with 69.3% of the vote.

  • Yes: 4,246 (69.63%)
  • No: 1,852 (30.37%)

The question on the ballot was:

“Shall the Placer Hills Fire Protection District be allowed to exceed its Appropriations Limitation for four years beginning July 1, 2008 in order to maintain the current level of life and fire safety services protecting the residents and property of the fire district?”
