Text of the question:

Shall the City of Pleasant Hope, Missouri be authorized to impose a tax on owners of real property in a sum not to exceed Forty Five Cents ($.45) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) on assessed valuation for the purpose of providing for the necessary expenses of the city government and general public safety?
