Pohai Ryan is a former Democratic member of the Hawaii State Senate, representing District 25 from 2010 to 2012.

Before her election, Ryan was the legislative office manager for state Senator Brickwood Galuteria. She has also worked as a program specialist for the Economic Development Center Parents & Children Together, and as executive director for the Democratic Party of Hawaii and the Kailua Chamber of Commerce.

Ryan ran in the 2012 election for Hawaii State Senate District 25. Ryan was defeated by Laura Thielen in the Democratic primary on August 11, 2012.[1][2]

Ryan defeated Andrew Jamila, Jr. and Chuck Prentiss in the September 18 primary. She defeated Virginia Enos (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]
