A Port Angeles Civic Field Bond Measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the city of Port Angeles which is in Clallam County.

This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $4 million which would go towards improvements of the Civic Field in the city. The bulk of the bond money will go towards installing artificial turf in the field. The field was built in 1974 and cannot be used part of the year by local high school athletic teams because of safety concerns. Since it was approved, an additional levy of $.18 per $1,000 of assessed value will be added to the local property tax rate to repay the bond.[2]

The City Council of the City of Port Angeles adopted Ordinance No. 3453 concerning a bond proposition for Civic Field. This proposition authorizes the City to improve and renovate Civic Field, including replacing the grass field with synthetic turf, installing a lighting system, installing a boiler, and making other capital improvements, renovations and upgrades; to issue general obligation bonds in the aggregate principal amount not to exceed $4,000,000, maturing within a maximum of 21 years; and to levy property taxes annually in excess of regular property tax levies to repay such bonds.[3][4]
