Port Moody City Casino Question, 2011

A Port Moody City Casino Question will be on the November 19 ballot in the city of Port Moody.
This question will ask residents if they would support the construction of a casino in the city should the opportunity arise. A previous vote held in 2004 had a majority of residents against a proposed casino, but city officials wanted to ask again in case public opinion had changed. Opponents note that the money spent on the election would be better spent elsewhere, but city officials note the cost would be negligible with civic elections also being held on that date.[1]
