A Quincy School District Levy Replacement measure was on the February 8, 2011 ballot in the Quincy school district area which is in both Douglas and Grant Counties.

This measure was approved in both counties

  • YES 1,122 (59.4%)Approveda
  • NO 767 (40.6%)[1]

This measure sought to replace an expiring levy which is set at a rate of $2.95 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further four years in order to help pay for operational and maintenance costs of the district.[2] School officials had stressed that this was nothing new to the district so residents should not worry about increased rates. They also noted that the school district has the lowest levy rate in the county which gives good cause for residents to continue to support the school.[3]
