Controversy
Charges have been brought against Ross for allegedly participating in a conspiracy to buy and sell votes for a gambling bill. In a ruling made on July 28, U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson denied the defense's motions for a judgment of acquittal. He refused to throw out the charges in the case despite some reservations he has stated to have about the charges.[10]
