Text of Question
Shall Jasper County R-V School District issue its general obligation bonds in the amount of $4,744,000 to construct classrooms and a cafeteria with gymnasium, and to improve, repair, upgrade, furnish and equip school facilities including the construction of an enclosed corridor connecting existing facilities for improved student safety and security?
The authorization of the Bonds will authorize the levy and collection of an annual tax in addition to the other taxes provided for by law on all taxable tangible property in the District sufficient to pay the interest and principle of the Bonds as they fall due. the District's debt service tax levy is estimated to increase from $0 to $0.93 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation.
