Disrud ran in the 2010 election for North Dakota State House District 21. Disrud ran with Jay Schmallen in the Republican primary election on June 8, 2010. Disrud and Schmallen were defeated by Democratic incumbents Kathy Hogan and Steve Zaiser in the general election on November 2, 2010.[1][2]
