Issues

Campaign themes

Hoskins' website highlights the following campaign themes:[1]

Jobs

  • Excerpt:"Jobs have been the #1 issue in our area for years, and it’s about time that Frankfort started working with the local communities to do some positive things about that problem."

Education for the 21st Century

  • Excerpt:"As a lifelong educator, Ralph understands that jobs and education go hand and in hand. With Ralph as your State Senator there will be no stronger leader in Frankfort on education issues than Ralph Hoskins."

Kentucky Energy Leading the Way

  • Excerpt:"As a nation, as long as a large percentage of our energy needs are coming from overseas (and in many cases from countries that don’t like us) coal is the best defense against finding ourselves at the mercy of our enemies. We can and must take a lead role in this area."

Eco-Tourism in Eastern Kentucky

  • Excerpt:"Tourism is one of the few areas of Kentucky’s economy that has not only been strong, but has grown in the past few years. Our area has the resources to capitalize on this trend. As your State Senator, Ralph will provide real leadership in Frankfort to push for eco-tourism in our area."
