English ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 12, but was later decertified and removed from the general election ballot.
English was a Republican candidate for the District 42 in the South Carolina House of Representatives in the November 2, 2010, state legislative elections. He did not have any opposition in June 8 primary. He was defeated by incumbent Michael Anthony (D) in the general election on November 2.
