Truitt is Partner/President of Main Street Management LLC, and previously served as Vice President of Business Development with Mennen Gutwein LLC.

Truitt won re-election in the 2012 election for Indiana House of Representatives District 26. Truitt ran unopposed in the May 8 Republican primary and defeated Rick Cornstuble (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
2010
Truitt defeated Democratic candidate Paul Roales and Independent candidate James Hass with 8,960 votes; Roales received 5,129 votes and Hass received 93 votes.[4]
In the May 4 primary election, Truitt ran unopposed and received 4,600 votes. [5]
