Ray Jones (b. October 6, 1969) is a Democratic member of the Kentucky State Senate, representing District 31. He was first elected to the chamber in 2000. He served as Chairman of the Kentucky Senate Democratic Campaign Committee from 2001 to 2002 and was a Presidential Elector for Kentucky's 5th Congressional District in 2005.

Jones earned his B.A. from Eastern Kentucky University in 1991 and his J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1994. His professional experience includes working as an attorney for the following firms: Assistant Pike County Attorney from 1994 to 1995, Gary C. Johnson, PSC, from 1995 to 1998, Vanover, Hall & Bartley, PSC, from 1998 to 2000, and Jones & Friend, PSC, from 2000 to the present.
