Raymore Concealed Weapon Council Amendment (November 2010)
The city council debated the issue of how its members should be able to carry concealed weapons to council meetings. A ordinance was passed earlier in 2010 that allowed members to bring concealed weapons, but a petition signed by more than 1,600 residents forced the issue to go to a city wide vote. The issue of gun control was a hotly debated issue since the 2008 shootout at the city hall during a council meeting.
