Republicans and Democrats both allege "suspicious tactics"

The two major parties in Nevada have both raised the specter of suspicious tactics being used on voters. Democrats have reported phone calls to Hispanic voters, urging them to vote over the phone, while Republicans are alleging that voters with incomplete registrations are being allowed to illegally vote.[1]
Hispanic Voters
According to reports cited by the Democrats, Hispanic voters in Washoe County are being targeted by dirty trick phone calls. The callers, speaking Spanish, claim to be with the Obama campaign, and inform voters that they can vote over the phone. The calls come from untraceable numbers and insist that voters do not need to go to the polls.[1]
Recently, similar calls have been reported in Florida as well.
Incomplete registration
On the other side of the aisle, Sue Lowden, Nevada Republican Party Chair, sent a letter to Secretary of State Ross Miller insisting that voters with improperly completed registrations are still voting. She called on him to rule these voters must use provisional ballots to determine if they are eligible or not.[1]
Poll reports
Poll watchers have reported people coming to vote, but being told their name is not on the official registered voter database, finding it instead on a list for those with incomplete or inaccurate information. The voters are asked for the missing information, then allowed to vote normally.
In her letter to Miller, Lowden wrote, "We believe that the persons who submitted the registrations at issue here may be ineligible to vote in this election and should not be voting by regular ballots, either during the early voting period or on Election Day." She then asks him to require "any person who is not included in the statewide database as a registered voter and attempts to vote ... to cast a provisional ballot."[1]
A spokesman for the Secretary said they are working on a legal determination of the issue and hope to have it resolved soon.
