Lara previously served in the California State Assembly, representing District 50 from 2010 to 2012. Lara served as communications director for Assemblymember Kevin de León of the California Assembly and as chief of staff for Assemblymember Marco Antonio Firebaugh. He also served as district director for Assemblymember Fabian Nunez of the California State Assembly.
Biography
Lara earned his BA in Journalism/Spanish/Chicano Studies from San Diego State University. He went on to be a masters candidate in Leadership from the University of Southern California.
