Richard Alloway II has been a Republican member of the Pennsylvania State Senate since being first elected in November of 2008 and re-elected in 2012 with his term expiring in 2016. Before serving in the Senate, Alloway was a former aide to State Senator Terry Punt and was a state Magistrate judge in 2004.

Alloway graduated with his Bachelor's in Government from Shippensburg University and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Widener Law. Alloway is also a private practice attorney when the legislature is not in session.
