Richard Devlin (b. September 9, 1952) has been a Democratic member of the Oregon Senate since 2002, representing the 19th district. He is currently the Senate Majority Leader.
Education
Devlin earned his BS in Administration of Justice from Portland State University in 1976. He went on to receive his MA in Management from Pepperdine University in 1980.
Professional experience
Devin has served in the United States Marine Corps. He has also worked as a Legal Investigator and in Civil and Criminal Investigations and Adult and Juvenile Corrections.
Political experience
Devlin was a member of the Tualatin City Council from 1985 to 1988. He was also on the Metro Council from 1989 to 1995. He served in the Oregon State House of Representatives from 1996 to 2002. He joined the Oregon State Senate in 2002 and has served in that position since. He represents the 19th district.

Policy positions
- Devlin (and nearly every other Democratic member of the Oregon state senate) voted for Oregon House Bill 2005 (2009), which imposes new regulations on the petition process in Oregon.[1]

Devlin and his wife Eliza have two children.
