Richard Geist (b. November 21, 1944) is a former Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 79 from 1979 to 2013.

Geist earned his AA in Design Technology from Pennsylvania State University in 1965. He was then a Kellogg Fellow at the Pennsylvania State University Public Affairs Leadership Program. He has worked as Senior Manager for EADS Corporation and as a Consulting Engineer.

Geist lost in the April 24, 2012 primary to John McGinnis.[1]
