Grayson ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Arizona's 4th District. He ran as a write-in Americans Elect Party candidate. He lost to Paul Gosar (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1][2][3]
Special election

Grayson ran in the 2012 special election for the U.S. House, representing Arizona's 8th District. The election is being held to replace recently resigned Representative Gabrielle Giffords. He was defeated by Charlie Manolakis in the April 17 Green Party primary.
