He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Counterintelligence and Special Agent for over 10 years. After his service, he remained in North Korea and worked as a television anchor before getting into international business. When he returned to the U.S., he completed his Ph.D. to become a professor. He currently works at St. Vincent College teaching political science and various international courses.
Saccone earned his B.S. from Weber State University, his M.P.A. from the University of Oklahoma, his M.A. from the Naval Postgraduate School, and his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.
