A Rifle City Sales Tax Increase question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Garfield County, which is in Colorado.

If approved, this measure would authorize a 3/4 cent sales tax increase, changing the sales tax from 3.5 cents to 4.25 cents. The increase tax revenue will be used to help Rifle City repay a $25.5 million loan from the Colorado Water and Power Development Authority.[1]
