A River Falls Marijuana Advisory Question was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the city of River Falls, which is in both Pierce and St. Croix Counties.

This measure was approved

  • YES 647 Approveda
  • NO 387[1]

This measure was brought to the ballot through a petition process which submitted over 892 signatures.[2] On September 14 the city council decided to allow the measure to be on the November ballot. It was just an advisory question, asking the Wisconsin legislature to enact legislation to allow patients to use marijuana as a medical treatment if given permission by a doctor. While some councilors expressed their feeling that this was not right for stat legislation, they let it go to the ballot so voter's would have their say on the issue.[3]
