Two of the three measures were defeated
The first measure sought to increase the local property tax by a rate of $60 a year, generating near $19 million for energy efficiency upgrades, safety improvements, handicap access projects and indoor air quality projects in the schools. This was considered the most important of the three measures and it was the only measures which passed, the other two will not be implemented.
The second measure sought to increase the local property tax by $78 per year, generating $16 million for school expansion and renovation projects.
The third measure sought to increase the local property tax by a rate of $16 a year, generating $3.37 million in order to pay for renovating and upgrading the old River Falls Academy.[1]
