This measure sought to replace the current levy with one set at a rate of $3.42 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of three years in order to help pay for school programs and operational costs in the district. This will be the second attempt to pass this levy.

The question on the ballot:
|The Board of Directors of Riverside School District No. 416-62 adopted Resolution No. 02-12-01, concerning a proposition to support educational programs and operation expenses. This proposition would authorize the District to levy the following excess taxes, in place of an expiring levy, upon all taxable property within the District, for support of the District’s General Fund educational programs and operation expenses: Collection Years: 2013-2015; Approximate Levy Rate/$1,000 Assessed Value: $3.42; Levy Amount: $2,855,000, $2,883,000; $2,911,000. All as provided in Resolution No. 2-12-01. Should this proposition be approved?|
