Bolton ran in the 2012 election for Rhode Island House of Representatives District 30. He ran against Emil Fachon and Antonio Giarrusso in the Republican primary on September 11, losing to Giarrusso. Incumbent Robert Watson did not running for re-election.[1][2]

Campaign themes

Bolton supports lower taxes, and seeks to make government smaller and more efficient. With regard to West Greenwich, he states, "I would like to see the transfer station moved out of the beautiful residential neighborhood it is in and placed behind the Town Hall where it is more centrally located."[3]
