Robert Ekstrom was a 2014 Constitution candidate for District 16 of the Oregon State Senate.

He was a 2012 Constitution candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 1st Congressional District of Oregon.[1] He lost to incumbent Suzanne Bonamici (D) in the general election.[2]


Ekstrom earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Middlebury College in Vermont in 1962. He is the founder and owner of DoorWorks Co.[3] He serves as an appointed member of the Columbia County Charter Committee.

Ekstrom currently resides in Scappoose, Oregon.

Elections for the office of Oregon State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Betsy Johnson was unopposed in the Democratic primary. She also ran as a write-in candidate on the Republican party ticket. Robert Ekstrom ran as a Constitution Party candidate and Perry Roll ran as a Libertarian candidate. Andrew Kaza also ran as an Independent and Working Families Party candidate. Johnson defeated Ekstrom, Roll and Kaza in the general election.[4][5][6]

Ekstrom lost in the 2012 general election for the U.S. House, representing Oregon's 1st District. He ran as a Constitution candidate and faced Suzanne Bonamici (D), Delinda Morgan (R) and fellow third-party candidate Steven Reynolds in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2]
