Phillips won re-election in the 2012 election for Rhode Island House of Representatives District 51. Phillips was unopposed in the September 11 Democratic primary and defeated Christopher Roberts (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]

Phillips defeated incumbent Christopher Fierro in the September 14 Democratic primary and faced no opposition in the November 2 general election.[2][3]
