Claunch was defeated by incumbent Steven Palazzo.[1] Claunch ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Mississippi's 4th District. As the nominee on the Reform ticket, he will faced incumbent Steven Palazzo (Republican), Ron Williams (Libertarian), and Michael Herrington (Democratic) in the November 2012 general election.[2]
