Ron Erickson (b. April 20, 1933) is a Democratic member of the Montana Senate, representing District 47.

Education

Erickson earned his BS from Bradley University in 1955. He went on to receive his PhD from the University of Iowa in 1959.

Professional experience

Erickson worked in various research positions for the University of Texas, NATO, from 1958 to 1961. He then worked as Assistant Professor for Canisius College from 1961 to 1965. He went on to be Director of Environmental Studies for the University of Montana from 1976 to 1984. From 1965 to 1998 he was Professor and Associate Professor for the University of Montana.

Political experience

Erickson served in the Montana State House of Representatives from 1998 to 2008. He joined the Montana State Senate in 2008. He has served in that position since, representing the 47th district.

Erickson and his wife, Nancy, have two children.
